DCCC’S 2022-2023 Theme: “Let Us Worship, Serve, And Share HIM” (Psalm 100)
Psalm 100 says:
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. 2 Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
How beautiful it is when the lives of Christians shine for Jesus and having Christ be the Center of our lives!
In Psalm 100, the psalmist shares the secret on how to live this out:
1. Establish a solid intimate relationship with GOD
2. Acknowledge He is our LORD, we are his sheep
3. Always Worship and Serve with Gladness
4. Give thanks and Praises to GOD
5. Share/witness to others how GOD is working in our lives
One thing that the COVID-19 lockdown showed us is that God created us to be relational beings. We missed visiting with friends and family, being in school or the office with others, and in-person worship and fellowship- things that Psalm 100 encouraged us to do together. For that reason, we sense that God is calling us to be Christ-focused instead of crisis-focused in our planning and purpose.
Hence, we came up with the theme :
“Let Us Worship, Serve, and Share the LORD Together.”
(齊來敬拜,事奉,見證主)
It is about moving forward with God’s purpose as a church family.
In 2022-2023, we will focus on five goals of being a Christ-centered church that is committed to worshiping, serving, and sharing the Lord together:
#1 Holding each other accountable to regular devotion and the reading of God’s Word.
#2 Creating a nurturing environment for spiritual growth.
#3 Mentoring the next generation of leaders.
#4 Having a true desire and training people to serve in various church ministries.
#5 Equipping believers to share the gospel.
